The summer farm Stulen

Stulen is idyllically located place, far into the forest and with great views! The area has beautiful scenery, charming lakes and nice hiking trails. There is also a good chance that you will be all alone, it is located 3 km on a private gravel road from Bolkesjø.

The Stule, is a old summer dairy farm, consisting of the cabin and an outbuilding. In the cabin there is a living room with wood stove, a dining area and chairs to realx in. The kitchen has a propane-powered refrigerator and hob. The bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, one with a double lower bunk. Outside there is a porch and a campfire site.

There is a simple solar panel, this is only used for lighting and not charging phones, etc. In the outbuilding there is fire wood, barbecue, outdoor furnitures and outdoor toilet. There is no running water. We will arrange for drinking water, washing water can be fetched in the stream. If you need a shower while you are here, we can arrange for this.

Every summer, the farm people brought their livestock to Stulen to utilize the grass resources in the area. The livestock were milked in the evening by a cowgirl and cheese and prim was made. This is one of the ancient traditions in rural Norway.

Minimum stay is two nights.
